We all cross certain thresholds or passageways within our life. Sometimes they are subtle and we do not notice them right away, and other times they are quite complex and difficult. I am fascinated by the every day urban environment and the many different angles and layers of the architecture surrounding us. Architecture has a way of relating to people and beauty in architecture need not be expansive or grand in scale. I try to take the everyday urban life and the complexities it holds and create something beautiful. Using layers of wood, this wall-sculpture exemplifies my way of challenging myself to cross a threshold. The warm orange and cool blues compliment this mid-century furnished home.
