Streetscapes, cityscapes and architecture

Painting cityscapes, street scenes and architecture is both fun and challenging at the same time. I love urban landscapes because they are filled with stark contrast of new and old, angular and non-angular, the natural world and the man made world, neutral colors and also colorful scenes all together as one. There is always something to see and find. I have always enjoyed this kind of art ever since I was a kid reading graphic novels of comic book characters with cityscapes as the background and being inspired by the legendary artist of Edward Hopper.
