Elaine and Guiteau Lanoue create original paintings on canvas as well as dimensional textured handmade paper collages

Elaine Lanoue is a contemporary artist who works with her husband in their studio in Houston. Elaine calls her paintings happy paintings and gives God all the glory for her gifts. I can do all things thru Christ Jesus who strengthens me is a favorite scripture,
Many of her paintings have been placed in corporate and private collections all over the world. Over a period of time, she has received purchase awards from collectors at the OKC Festival of the Arts intermittently from 1999 - 2018. Ten of her paintings are in the collection of the Marietta Museum of Art and Whimsy in Sarasota FL. She has been featured in 1983 Notable Women of Texas, the 1990s Who's who of American Women, Who's Who of Interior Design, Who’s Who in America (under prev name of Elaine Rose), as well as 2008 Who's who in America. She exhibited for over 8 years in International Artexpo in NYC.

Guiteau Lanoue, a native of Port au Prince Haiti, creates beautiful textured, structured, and geometric mixed media handmade paper collages. Guiteau uses cotton linter fibers which he scores, rolls, or folds to complete the dimensional paper sculpture he envisions. He acquired collectors all over the world through exhibitions at International Art Expo in NY City and subsequently through juried art festivals in the United States including his cubist dancers which were purchased and placed in the Marietta Whimsy Museum in Sarasota Florida. He is inspired by the geometric influences of Africa also reflected through works of Picasso and Paul Klee and the memories of the colorful Caribbean. He is a believer in God’s gift of salvation to all. His scripture “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” is a verse of encouragement.
