My journey is to uncover symbolism, passion, and freedom in art.
In high school I became interested in art and studied in Manhattan at Parsons School of Design. I then studied at The California College of Arts. I went abroad with Jack Portland and studied in Rome for a year, an amazing experience. I graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, my home town.
Painting is a moving meditation for me. It is a way to capture the conscious and unconscious. When I am in my studio and immersed in my work, color selection, mark making, and technique become intuitive.
My geometric and abstract pieces involve music and movement. Rarely do I know where this will take me and I love this freedom. These pieces are constantly in motion, ever changing in form, texture, and color.
