"Woman in Red Blouse" (oil on canvas; 23 1/2" x 19 1/2") is the work of 19th-century German emigre Bella Gerstle Fleishhacker, who moved to to San Francisco and promptly became one of the City's most prominent benefactresses and socialites, as well as an excellent still life and landscape painter. Her work can be found at the Mills College Arts Museum in Oakland.
