Landscape 8 - Reflections

Item details

This is a large and colorful statement piece. It has a lot of movement and flow, texture and depth.

I once asked my grandfather (an awesome artist) how he painted reflections for well. His answer - turn the canvas upside down and paint it again. So that's what I did.

NOTE: This is on unstretched, loose, heavy canvas. The size is an approximate and final size depends on how it's stretched and framed.

Oil & Stone - Original unique works on canvas and stone

I started painting when I was younger and then got away from it for many years. When my father passed away 8 years ago, something in me said it was time to start again.

I've experimented with different techniques and have focused on oil and oil pastel on canvas over the last recent years. I love the fluidity and texture of oils, and for the most part I work wet on wet. My work is generally considered abstract but often has some visually identifiable elements.

I've always had a fascination for sculpture and finally went ahead and started adding that to my artistic expressions. The contrast between an additive process like painting, and a subtractive process like stone sculpting is fascinating to me.

My art has been sold all over the world and in private collections.
