Meet the Creator
Sophia is an artist based in Edinburgh, currently sitting a 12 month studio residency awarded by the Artists Collecting Society.
The shapes, lines and composition of Sophia’s work stem from environments associated with water, especially swimming pools, lakes and the sea. She focuses on the spaces in between the physical forms of the urban landscape, using a bright contrasting palette to accentuate the flowing shapes. Her finished work uses the media of painting on canvas or wood, screen printing and painted sculptural installations.
