Item details

This hospital care facility was looking for a solution to residents waiting for the elevators and escaping. I suggested murals that ran across the walls and both doors to disguise the elevators. It worked very well!

Meet the Creator
Visual artist Sheila Rae Van Delft grew up in Smithers, BC, and currently resides in Langley. She received a Diploma in Graphic and Visual Design from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is currently enrolled in their Bachelor of Fine Arts Program, Visual Arts, fourth year. Her art practice includes murals, portraits, illustrations, and commissioned artwork for residential and commercial clients. In 2004 she won first prize and was named Artist of the Year by Trout Unlimited Canada for her painting “Autumn Echo” which was chosen for use in their advertising and fundraising efforts for the year. Her professional experience includes teaching Art Foundations at the high school level since 2008 and home school groups and private art classes as well. Sheila works primarily with acrylics on canvas that can also include oil, encaustic, recyclables, and found objects.
