Serena Mitnik-Miller, an artist and designer based in California, recently spent a few months painting a mural on a staircase at Facebook as an artist-in-residence. She's an avid surfer and her paintings reflect the natural environment by whimsically and carefully knotting together concentric shapes, bubbles, and patterns.
