A private mural for a residence in South Philadelphia. I sometimes go immediately to symbols that can represent a person. And in this case a family. The flowers represent the months of which members of the family were born. The sparrows are the matriarch in the family's favorite flower.
The mural is best viewed off a stairwell in the how so it's a very special piece that is best viewed from a very particular point in the house.
The mandala painted rug was added afterward to create a space to hang out if the family so chooses.
