Two murals bookend queensyard’s main dining space and pay homage not to England's buttoned-up decorum, but to its penchant for irreverence. Sarah describes her approach: "The murals allude to the tradition of British landscape painting. I infused scenes of city and country with loose brushwork, a contemporary palette, and whimsical humor. The murals are populated with figures who span England's history, reflecting both Victorian extravagance and the diverse, cultural hub of modern London."
Led by D&D London, a restaurant brand known for creating inspiring spaces, queensyard's design was curated under the discerning eye of CetraRuddy architects. queensyard is perched in full view of the Grand Plaza at Hudson Yards, New York, NY, with an extraordinary floor-to-ceiling glass wall that opens to views of the park, the Hudson River, and of the Culture Shed and Heatherwick Studio’s Vessel sculpture.
