Sam Soper completed this floor-to-ceiling trompe l'oeil mural in a meditation room at the Sunshine House short-term rental out in Blanco, Texas. This 253 sq.ft. mural was painted with Montana water-based aerosol paints and took around 75 hours to complete. The mural features a semi-underwater scene of the Blanco River surrounded by local wildlife and tropical plants and black flowers. Under blacklight, the scene lights up and moon phases appear across the ceiling. Two LED hanging cloud props were built and custom coded to enhance this immersive experience with bespoke user interface and tailored meditation and lightning cycles.
