El Mundial - Murals
Creator not accepting inquiries
El Mundial, a popular mural found at 19th Street, Mission District, calls attention to the role of athleticism in the Americas and commemorates the first World Cup soccer games held in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994. The artists Raymond Patlan and Eduardo Pineda dedicated the mural to the athletes of Mission High School, a public high school walking distance from the wall. It depicts kids happily playing soccer. They used vibrant and stimulating colors to this street artwork.
