Guiness for Strength

Item details

This Mural is on the exterior of an Irish pub called the Claddagh Cottage in Orlando's Hourglass District. With the full permission from the Guinness company, I reproduced a vintage image used in an advertisement campaign from the 1930's. The original was done by John Gilroy in 1939. A short time after its completion, the Florida State board of tobacco and alcohol made the owners remove the word Guinness due to state advertising limits on alcohol brands. It was changed to " A Pint of Stout for Strength" to comply.
