A 20 x 20 ft mural using reclaimed wood for the lobby of a new housing building, also named Mural, at McArthur Station, Oakland, built by the affordable housing non-profit Bridge Housing. Some of the wood comes from Oakland homes, you can see street names in among the foliage etc. The treatment of the wood includes areas carved away and areas built up in shallow relief as well as painted color. Installed Nov 2015.

British artist, Martin Webb (b. 1964), first laid eyes upon the American West when he was awarded a Fulbright teaching exchange that brought him to the San Francisco East Bay in 1999-2000. Martin Webb has also found great success as a highly acclaimed artist with numerous public commissions visible throughout the Bay Area, and beyond. Whilst being primarily a studio painter, his work also encompasses printmaking, murals, reclaimed wood, concrete, ceramic tile, sculpture, and site-specific installations.
