Mr. Frenchie is one of Kim McCarthy’s famous animal portraits. This vibrant and beautiful artwork can be found adorning a wall at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Mission Bay Medical Offices. She uses her own photography to turn the photos into multi-layered paper stencils to be spray painted on a hand painted background.

Meet the Creator

Contemporary artist Kim McCarthy of Urban Soule Art and Design Studio has been featured in many Design/Home Decor Magazines, Books and Television for her paintings. Her work can be found in major national home stores across the nation, commercial's, resorts, restaurants, stores, catalogs, spa's, law offices, residential, private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Abroad. Her work as a visual artist has taken her art on a number of extraordinary adventures around the world, from Art Basel to the BAM, the United Kingdom to Hollywood and back to Seattle where she currently resides with her family and two dogs. She is a member of numerous art and environmental groups that are dedicated to the preservation of Wildlife Conservation and Natural Habitats, she also donates a percentage of her sales to the groups to help raise awareness of cultural identities and protecting biodiversity. Using mainly acrylic, latex, spray paints, stencils, ink and collage as mediums she creates images on almost any printable surface, preferably canvas or wood panels.”
