New mural complete! A tribute to the inspiring women’s rights and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Malala Yousafzai. Malala is a Pakistani activist for female education who survived a gunshot wound to her head for standing up to a Taliban oppressor. This is the second in a series of three murals at Laval Junior Academy that aim to not only bring art to young minds, but to provide an opportunity for education about some inspiring people, as well as touch on topics that will help us understand ourselves as a nation and our place in the global story.
