Item Details
Jules Guerin's oil on canvas mural called “Traders of the Adriatic” is found at the main banking lobby entrance at the Sansome Street in Bentley Federal Reserve. It pays homage to the world of banking, depicting Venetian shipping merchants accepting receipts for goods on deposit, and slaves attending to the masters of galleons. The masters give the Venetians rugs, gold, silver, and incense for safekeeping. It was done in 1922.
