This mural is 5' x 10', made of stained glass. It was commissioned by a confidential client for a corporate complex in Washington State. They wanted an image of a "Garden Studio" and I happen to have one of those, so this project is special to me because it depicts my own space. Each piece is cut by hand and placed according to hue, value and texture to create a composition that looks painterly, but sparkles and shimmers as the angle of light shifts. It is also touchable and washable and will never fade. The large 3 on the right indicates that visitors are on the 3rd floor, as this artwork is facing the elevator doors. I worked with a number of different companies on this project, from interior designer to contractor to architect. My main point of contact was NBBJ Design in Seattle.
