This project was designed to have a treasure hunt theme behind it. The idea was to have
four panels spread around the reception giving clues to the whereabouts of a fairy door - or
in this case a 'tooth' fairy door. The artwork was funded by the Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
The aim of the artwork is to improve patient wellbeing and their hospital experience.

Meet the Creator
Wescover creator since 2019
I live near the Peak District in Yorkshire and capture huge inspiration from the light, colours and nature as I walk and cycle through these incredible surroundings.

I graduated from Wolverhampton University with a first in Illustration. I now work as a full-time illustrator and artist and after being in London and Brighton for many years, I moved to Sheffield with my two young daughters.

I have had more than 30 books published to date and have worked with dozens of clients including Aardman Animation, Marks and Spencers, BBC and Saatchi and Saatchi.

Over the last few years, I have enjoyed many new creative challenges, working on a variety of projects.

In 2016, I was lucky enough to get to design and paint one of the ‘Herd of Sheffield’ elephants. This was Sheffield’s largest public art event to date and consisted of 58 enormous fibreglass elephants, each one covered in an artist’s design and placed on a trail across the city.

Since then, I have gone on to create many more public art projects. My aim is to bring art out of the gallery and make it much more accessible for everyone. Transforming an environment with inspiring, empathetic artist has such a positive effect on wellbeing and engagement. Many of my recent projects have been hospital murals and these themes have been at the core to the designs and artwork.
