When you visit the historic post office building in Rye, New York, you can see a New Deal Section of Fine Arts mural entitled “John Jay at His Home.” This mural was painted in 1938 by Guy Pene du Bois. Rye is where John Jay grew up from 3 months to 15 years old and it was the refuge he returned to throughout his adulthood and career.
