In the image, a woman is seeking higher education. Her mind seeks the unknown-she desires expansion of the mind- hands are reaching out of her head attempting to grasp the books that fly away from her as though unattainable birds. Malala was painted at the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles, for Not A Crime Campaign- raising awareness for the Bahai in Iran, who are a religious minority group that are not allowed higher education solely because of their religion.
