Dunn-Edwards Paints and Caroline collaborated for their second large-scale project together at the WestEdge Design Fair to celebrate Dunn-Edwards, 2020 Color of the Year, Minty Fresh, DE5687.

The design fair was held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA from October 24-27th, 2019. Caroline painted a mural on site over the course of three days. She also designed the layout of the graphics on the two side walls. Inspired by the context of Minty Fresh; a fresh start as we move into the new decade with heavy pops of Minty Fresh and a spectral color palette.

Caroline latest painting series, ‘AstroAtmosMeteo’ is inspired by astrological, atmospheric, and meteorological phenomenons. She incorporated 15 of their colors from their 2020 palette and also utilized Minty Fresh as the base of all mixing to lighten up the colors as opposed to a white. The aesthetic incorporates a soft and tranquil mood, coinciding with organic painterly brush strokes and details of thinner line work emulating characteristics of nature and technology.

*Normally these type of walls are returned to a blank white slate after the fair; however, Dunn-Edwards has acquired the panels and are in the process of donating the pieces to a local hospital or organization.

Price varies on site-specific details regarding size, location, and final concept selected.

Color, nature, architecture, topography amalgamation

I am a Belgian born multi-disciplinary designer and artist residing in the Arts District, Los Angeles.

I focus on the exploration of color, topography, geometry, nature, and architectural amalgamation. I am constantly creating multiple pieces in various media simultaneously, fueling the velocity to my creativity as I sway between the commercial and fine art worlds.

Besides taking a few art classes in high school and college electives, I am a self-taught artist and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing and Real Estate from Florida Atlantic University. After a twelve year career in marketing for architecture and real estate firms, I ventured off to start my own company in 2017, Caroline Geys Design Studio, as a fine artist and freelance designer, and the many shades of the spectrum in between. Both careers have provided me with a wonderful range of opportunities and collaborations with various types of brands, small business clients and collectors, and large organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Since living in Los Angeles, I have created several public works of permanent and temporary art installations, and exhibited in galleries.

Recent project highlights include; Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Reebok, Dunn-Edwards Paints, Benjamin Moore Paints in association with Wescover and American Society of Interior Designers, Los Angeles Design Festival, ROW DTLA, City of Los Angeles, Arts District Brewing Company, MASAYA Boutique, Folklore Salon & Barber, Unita Club, Coachella in association with TRASHed, Standard Hotel - Hollywood, Beautify Earth, and StandardVision.
