Bobby MaGee Lopez, named after the Janis Joplin hit, was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His passion for creativity began at an early age, drawing with his father and sewing with his mother. He attended the Bemis School of Art, and at 12, he started a custom design business. Upon high school graduation, he enrolled at the Art Institute of Colorado receiving his Associates Degree. He completed his BFA at Metropolitan State University of Denver, emphasizing mural painting.
After University, Bobby MaGee owned and operated Innerspace Art Gallery in the River North (RiNo) Art District of Denver, CO for two years. He continues to operate in Colorado where his companies - Paint The World Murals and Om Visual Arts - are headquartered. As a national artist, many examples of his work can be found around the country in the form of monumental murals, gallery shows, and live painting performances.
