Three vegetal endemic species portrayed over tree examples of the popular Victorian architecture in the neighborhood of the «Tamarindo» in Higüey. Both species, the architectural and the vegetal, maintaining the link of being part of the essence of the essential historic identity- culturally speaking of Dominican Republic, that now a days founds itself in a serious danger of extinction.
The objective of the project is the one of make this terrible situation visible, that can distort part of Dominicans cultural patrimony, rehabilitating three Victorian houses.
The chosen species have being the «Bayahibe» rose, national and endemic flower of the region, «El Caminito» and the dominican «Zapote».
Bayahibe Rose
In this house that is in the street Remigio del Castillo, live three families Laureano and his son Helder, Yohani´s family and the family of Ruth Ayala.
The dominican Mamey
Home of Doña Esperanza and Camila, at number 14 at street Remigio del Castillo.
El Caimito Amarillo
At Mella street lives Leuris.
