Abstract cotton fiber art

Yolanda is a textile artist. Born in Colombia with a degree in Fashion Design, this has helped her to put her passion into visual arts. With playful color fabrics and cotton cords she creates wall hangings, sculptures, and fiber frames under the label of HILO Fiber Art. She loves to work with cotton fibers for their versatility and transformation that she can bring many of the pieces alive with bright colors in the dip-hand dyed process.
Traveling around the world, doing photography, admiring the architecture, and looking at what the locals wear in contrast with their history are the things that inspire Yolanda to bring new creations.
