Do you have a soul place? Like a soul mate, but a location instead of a person. It’s a place where you feel instantly at home and most yourself - it feels like you belong there. I found one of my soul places during my first visit to Joshua Tree. We stayed at a little park five miles up Sunfair Road, surrounded by public land and little else. Every morning and evening, I’d take the dogs outside the park fence to run free and walk along the sandy service roads. With nothing else around, I could see clear across the desert to the boulder piles of Joshua Tree National Park and the sunrises and sunsets were like none I’d seen. I can’t quite explain it, but walking alone in the quiet of the desert just felt right.
The Sunfair Quilt is inspired by that feeling of being out in the desert, surrounded by nothing but being able to see everything. The colors reflect the range of golden tones found in the desert surrounding Joshua Tree with a textured cotton/linen to contrast the bright, warm golds.
Four sizes available:
Crib: 42” x 48”, perfect for a little one
Throw: 56” x 64”, great for snuggling on the couch
Queen: 90” x 96”, fits a full or queen size bed
King: 104” x 110”, fits a king size bed
Top: gray yarn-dyed cotton/linen blend with gold, yarrow and curry cotton
Binding: charcoal cotton
Back: unbleached cotton
Batting: thick unbleached US-grown cotton
Machine pieced, quilted and bound
Care: Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.
