'Lets Be Great' Mural

‘Let’s be Great’. This was another mural I proposed back in February which was put on hold due to the impending pandemic which would reshape our livelihood, society, and purpose. I wanted to focus on athletes who had helped shape their own trajectory and inspired throughout history.
I’m not a big sports fan, but all of these athletes pushed themselves and barriers for a greater cause. Through segregation, sexism, racism, and determination they dealt with many, many hurdles to become the best at what they did. The human body is an amazing machine that can overcome so many difficult tasks set before it, but the human mind and heart can equally accomplish and tackle so much more.
Before the pandemic really hit, before we questioned so much about the life we knew before we were really scared, I knew others had been great before, and right now it’s doctors and nurses who should be held higher and inspire equally for all they are doing. We didn’t know it then, but we know it now and we all can try to give it our best, to be great, to each other and our society as a whole.
