Fabulous interior design by Lisa Batson Goldberg in this private home Toronto. The kitchen in this 1880's Victorian Toronto home had great bones, but needed a little love. Nature was a huge inspiration in this vibrant, energetic kitchen revamp. The Designer's Guild floral wallpaper makes a bold and beautiful statement. The butcher block countertops and light wood floors continue the natural, garden-like feel throughout the space, and the L-shaped counter-top and stools make the relatively small space much more functional, as well as give a comfortable place for the owners to sit and enjoy company, each other, and the awesome view! The dark wood aesthetic of the lower cabinets grounds the space, giving the light and colorful space a little more depth. We also decided to expand the design and vibrancy of the space into the large entryway of the home. By adding light colored wainscotting (which works perfectly here, giving the era of the home), and a high energy aqua color - the vibrancy and happiness of the kitchen space now seeps throughout the rest of the house. This Victorian is now a playful, colorful and beautifully unique representation of the home owners, as well as their passion for nature, and overall love of life.
