The flagship project for Desigual in the Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona , is located in a protected building of the architect Puig i Cadafalc dating from the early twentieth century and is the largest store made by the brand worldwide.
It is distributed over 3 floors for a total of approximately 3000 m2 and the construction is carried out in two phases, one already built of 2000 m2 and a second one, with an additional 1,000 m2, which is scheduled for 2016.
As an outstanding intervention, a load wall was removed from the facade of the building to create a more open space and the access was re-created to create a double space at the entrance. Also note that the store has achieved the LEED certificate of maximum energy efficiency.
