Estudio Manus

São Paulo, Brazil

Seeking a path between art and design applied to objects and interiors.

“Estudio Manus”, in Sao Paulo, Brazil , is where Caio de Medeiros e Daniela Scorza apply their experience in design, arts, interiors and architecture.
We always combine all of these ingredients focusing on new and unique results.
Our researches are based on unusual materials, their possible applications and the search of new uses for it, including the use of Brazilian popular art shows and recovery of handcraft as something new.
We look for inserting in our drawings the memory of the past and also images of the collective unconscious, expressed not only in useful objects but in the objects that we would normally call useless. All of this is put together with a very amusing character that in some way denies industrial design.
Our objects are produced in small or exclusive scale.
Their techniques are used not only in objects but also on the creation of furniture, scenery and architecture projects.
