Description
Covina is a warm, welcoming haven in the heart of the Park South Hotel in New York City’s NoMad neighborhood. The concept was designed, with this location in mind, to create a refuge for hotel guest as well as local Manhattan residents. Within the somewhat hidden space, one finds the social, casual atmosphere of the stunning U-shape zinc-top bar providing the perfect setting for any impromptu gathering. The dining room features a U-shaped bar, long rows of banquette seating with colorful upholstery and an open kitchen that offers a view of that Ferrara oven. The exposed industrial steel columns of the multi-story hotel tower above balance against the wide but muted white oak floor and wall panels whose continuity is accentuated with blackened steel and brass trim.

CCS Architecture, with offices in San Francisco and New York City, is dedicated to excellence in architecture and interior design. Since its inception in 1990, CCS has designed a diverse range of public and private buildings and interiors. The firm has gained international acclaim for the architectural and commercial success of restaurant projects, while the uniqueness of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects has met with an unusual degree of owner satisfaction and media praise.
