Sacred meets profane. We’ve got here a stark contrast between the refined minimalism of the white lacquered case and the gnarly, audacious self-awareness of the faces. The three osage orange boards are sequential from the same log, for harmony in the figure. The drawers feature touch-release hardware to eliminage drawer pulls, and the finishes are all water-borne and low-VOC. The drawer faces have had time to oxidize since these photos were taken, so the color has mellowed to a deep amber, like a good dark ale.
