In the same spirit from which its name is derived—RN74 is the main highway connecting the major wineries of Burgundy—the restaurant’s interior design was inspired by the early railways that linked Burgundy to the rest of France.

Despite being highly touted among eighteenth-century Parisian cognoscenti, very little of Burgundy’s wine ever left the landlocked region prior to the advent of the steam locomotive during the industrial revolution.

Designed by New York-based AvroKO, RN74’s red-leather booths, its station-style wine board, and even the signal-like pendant lights all evoke the romance of nineteenth-century, French train travel.
