Entwined is an exploration of texture, combining two techniques – weaving and knotting – to create an interesting, textural art piece.
With this tapestry I am taking a sculptural approach to fibre art, allowing shadows to change as the light passes, hitting differently on the woven knots as the hours go by.

Tamar Samplonius is a fiber artist based in the Netherlands. She creates large-scale macrame works from her studio near Amsterdam. Her unique designs are handmade with natural materials where possible, causing her work to be sustainable and harmless to body and environment.
