Nonna Hall - Cups

Creator not accepting inquiries

These cups are made out of beautiful, speckled stoneware clay. The cup's rough glazing outside and its indentations on the sides create such a comfortable feeling and the grip. It's food safe glazed inside.

Elegant, durable and unique handmade ceramics.

Originally from Russia, I moved to the United States in 2002 and ended up settling down in Brooklyn for 10 years until my husband and I decided to move upstate to the magnificent Catskills.

I started working with ceramics in 2006 at one community studio in the Chelsea (an area in Manhattan). Now this is all I do - project my fantasy pieces into the real world.

My first studio space was in Gowanus, Brooklyn, in the amazing community of the Old Can Factory - surrounded by incredibly talented artists and entrepreneurs. Working with different clays, new glazes, and new firing techniques has allowed my creativity to expand and flourish.

After having a wonderful home studio I’ve decided to look for a bigger place, where I could expand my private classes to a group classes and invite the members of my community to share my knowledge an experience.

I enjoyed teaching pottery classes and workshops in a couple of studios in Brooklyn and Manhattan when I was there. People started to ask me about the classes here, upstate.

So last year I’ve found an amazing location in a small town named Barryville. Where I opened a brand new studio for people who want to learn and practice their skills on a potters wheel, hand building. We have also a membership program and we also have a gallery & gift shop.

It’s a separate business from my own brand, but I produce my work there and been happy more then ever about this.
