chasing sunrise is inspired by the dark weight lifted off of me since summer has started. I struggle with mental health issues year round, but I know deeply that changing seasons truly affect my spirit and wellbeing.

I recharge in the sun. I recharge in nature. I am a Leo naturally drawn to the sun. I haven’t painted using just oil and linseed oil in almost a year. I am constantly called to and creating art with intense texture (concrete, plaster, est).

I fought with myself when I got home from the beach to add plaster to the painting but I think the sunny and bright and happy simplicity of the soft blends of natural “light” in the oil depicts the inspiration for this painting perfectly. this was painted at sunrise on folly beach, sc.

My wife and I had the pleasure of chatting with Taylor and Connor while dining at our restaurant, as they were visiting New York City. We exchanged contacts and later decided to purchase a custom painting for our new home. During our conversation when we met, the couple called themselves a “small business”. After our encounter with them professionally, we have to say that statement is a complete injustice to the masterpieces this couple curate together….

Taylor’s attentive nature and attention to detail during the entire process was refreshing. We labor a handful of creatives yearly for our businesses, and their humble generosity is unmatched. Despite a tight lead time our art arrived before deadline, in pristine condition, and with a most impressive framed biographical description of the works.

We look forward to working with the Robinson’s again. We will share the photographs of our new art in our Miami home when we receive them.
