Atropos - Wall Hangings

Price from $2,500 to $3,600

Porcelain wall charger. 28" x 4" This piece was one of 12 made specifically to be installed at the Fortune Gallery in Victoria BC. for the exhibition Spot On! High fired and treated with black pigmented porcelain slip and finished with a multitude of naturally occurring wild clays and wood ash glazes. The degree of risk with the large scale porcelain and the unpredictable nature of the wild materials make the realization and completion of a piece, all the more inspiring.

Porcelain: One Offs and of a kind

Peter Flanagan’s practise of art has been a life long pursuit. Formal studies in art and academics began at Kootenay School of Art and continued at University of Victoria. Residencies at the Banff Centre and international teaching assignments, especially in Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia have informed and added profound depth and perspective to his art. Participation in exhibitions and recognition with national and international awards throughout Canada, USA, Japan and New Zealand have broadened Peter’s vision and exposure. Travels to Hong Kong and various regions of China and Taiwan have been a cultural delight to experience both historical and contemporary ceramics.
