Item details

The 2 by 1,4-metre mirror made from reclaimed Rhodesian Teak wood, expresses the depths of African history. The railway sleepers are dated to be brought to South Africa from Zimbabwe formally known as Rhodesia in the 1800’s and is an endangered wood species. So the Rhodesia mirror was made to honor the man who brought it to South Africa and those who built our railways. ‘When one stands in front of the mirror, theirs a reflection that represents the brave man who built our railways that live within all of us today.
