In July of 2018, I began a project called 30 Days of Shapes. It was a way for me to explore design within set parameters. Draw every day for 30 days using a select color palette, focus on shapes, lines, textures, and transparencies, and share my work daily on Instagram. #30daysofshapes

Nancy Purvis is a quilter and artist living in Albuquerque, NM. Always a creative, it was not until publishing her quilt book, Quilting from Every Angle, that she noticed what fascinated her most was the design process and the patterns found within the quilts she was making. It was the very tactile nature of hand-making, exploration of pattern making, and digital manipulation of art and pattern that sparked her interest in visual art and surface design. She began experimenting with different mediums, which has resulted in a place of patterns, lots of digital play, and a heavy dose of black.
