Exited by loopholes in the production process, Baptist loves to circumvent apparent impossibilities. As such he creates a line of products that are comfortably familiar.
The Coatrack by the Meter is one of such products. Working with local Dutch industries, Maarten invests in lasting relations with the craftsmen who manufacture the products. With a wink to the shakers’ wall stretching coatracks, the base of the coatracks is a square metal bar which is laser cut in a six-meter stretch. After which the hooks (which are 10 cm apart) are pulled out by hand.
The hole of the hook creates, allows you to screw the rack onto the wall. They are powder coated in a standard matt white and matt black or mint green, but can the coatracks can be customized in any other colour to fit any interior. As an insider’s joke, Baptist hides his date of birth in every product. The standard 2-hook coatrack is 19.76 centimetres.
