Future Memories - Art & Wall Decor

Creator not accepting inquiries

Lynn Criswell’s "Future Memories" (two panels 15' x 10'; porcelain enamel, cast bronze; 2015), at Zev Yaroslavsky Family Support Center in Van Nuys, uses elements such as children-at-play and elements from nature to provide a moment of pause and reflection during the busy work day.

Located in the third and fourth floor lunchroom areas, the two porcelain enameled collages strive for a daydream-like quality. A bronze sculpture resembling the three-dimensional line drawing of a twig house floats in front of the one of the enamel panels. According to the artist, it is meant to symbolize the love and security needed for a child to play and grow.
