I am so in love with this recent Great Escape piece completed to go into a luxury Cornish cottage inspired by colors of the sea and sunsets, LATITUDE50. I love how the genuine gold and copper leaf butterflies work with the blues. I could look at this for hours. I hope it looks fab in its new home and gives its visitors some pleasure. I spray painted the internal frame slip gold which I think really sets it off.
An explosion of beautiful brights – this Great Escape design incorporates only the brightest of butterflies in jewel and primary tones to brighten and give joy to any space and translates so well in so many sizes and colour ways. This is my brightest and happiest design yet where sheens, glitters and 24k gold and copper leaf butterflies add drama and preciousness and convey a sense of both freedom and chaos whilst ironically also creating an artwork with a sense of peace and calm.
The 3-dimensional aspect creates beautiful shadows which give the artwork a real sense of movement – a life of its own – and changes throughout the day in changing light situations. Each piece is created to order and is unique & can usually be delivered within 2-6 weeks depending on the size ordered – I will keep you fully updated.
