Launched in 2013, designed by artist Kristjana S Williams and made by an award-winning globe maker in the Isle of Wight in England.
The 12" World map globe is made in the time-honored manner of applying 12 printed gores to a sphere, the same way it has been done since 1507. The internal ball is made out of abs plastic, the base is made from reclaimed timber and MDF and the finial is a salvaged chess piece that has played its part in numerous battles and is now taking a well-deserved rest, both of which certifying the product's sustainability.
