'Bluebell Woods' series of four woven panels. - Art & Wall Decor

Featured In Dewsbury, United Kingdom

Item details

Here, the woven panels in the main waiting area in Dewsbury Health Centre draw on the amazing intricacy, beauty and vibrancy of bluebell woods.
The ground floor of the Dewsbury Health Centre waiting area is a very large, stationary space; the panels attempt to soften the experience for the user, mitigating the potential frustration of the waiting experience through invoking a sense of the environment beyond.
The artworks aim to provide a temporary distraction for users, stimulating curiosity concerning materials and construction, drawing the eye to the colour, texture and movement in the work, gentle on the senses, relaxing and uplifting.
Materials: monofilament, enamelled copper, mosaics, textured yarn, ribbon, beads
