Eugene Stoltzfus Architects designed this vibrant Generations Park for the town of Bridgewater, one of the gems of the Shenandoah Valley as a year-round community gathering place. A delicate roof system was designed to float lightly over an oval skating rink that triples as a farmer’s market and performance venue. Generations Park features ice skating during the winter. Throughout the rest of the year, Generations Park is home to the Bridgewater Farmers' Market, concerts, movie nights, and other events. As a new focal point for Bridgewater, Generations Park features a restaurant and café, open year round. They kept the restaurant close to the street to maintain the urban definition established by the buildings that so nicely define the streets of downtown Bridgewater.
