STEM Kitchen & Garden is a true farm-to-table dining experience: elemental, elegant, casual. Created by Bon Appétit’s Palo Alto team of pioneers and designed by Engstrom Design Group, the space pays attention to the plate and perspective.
Executive Chef Brian Bowen’s Californian-Mediterranean fare is consciously seasonal, constantly changing, and, whenever possible, created using produce harvested from the on-site garden. In addition to local produce, they use humanely raised meat, certified cage-free shell eggs, and seafood that meets Monterey Bay Seafood Watch sustainability guidelines.
Past the modern, open kitchen is a expansive outdoor patio, heated terrace, garden plaza, fire pits, bocce ball and wide views of the San Francisco Bay. With plenty of variety, STEM’s atmosphere changes the flavor of each visit.
