Al's Place is an intimate, 54-seat Michelin star restaurant with the cool look of a new-wave diner. The understated interior has big storefront windows and white subway tile wainscoting. Al's Place is Aaron London's creation: the former chef of Napa's Ubuntu, he was awarded a Michelin star there too for his transcendent, mostly vegetable-based cuisine. His new venture also puts vegetables on center stage—meat and seafood are largely relegated to side dishes. Cocktails are named after characters in the film "Reservoir Dogs."
