For over 7 years, I have been involved in residential and commercial interior design. I am the owner and principal designer of Zachary Luke Designs in Charlotte, NC. I started working for a high-end residential designer in Royal Oak, MI while studying for my undergraduate degree. I moved to Charlotte in 2013 and have continued working in the industry since. I also attend High Point Furniture Market every Spring and Fall to keep up to date on the latest styles.
I grew up in Muskegon, MI and attended Muskegon Catholic Central. I started taking drafting classes in middle school and continued in high school. From that, I knew I wanted to go into the design field. I then attended Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI. I started out as an architecture major but then decided to switch my major to interior architecture. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design.
Shortly after graduation, I moved to Charlotte, NC. I started as a merchandiser for a designer showroom, and then a few months later I was taken on staff at The Furniture Connector in the South End district of Charlotte. I left there in July 2017 and took off independently with Zachary Luke Designs as owner and principal designer.
I design with the transitional style in mind while adding in multiple textures and materials for a great cohesive design.
