"Art must elicit an emotion, for me one of joy. There is too much gloom and doom in the world, I want art to make me happy. I want people to look at my work and smile, because colours are beautiful. I let the clay speak to me. I hold it in my hand and I let myself be dictated by it. I allow it to become what it wants to be."
